Varawut”, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, along with executives and civil servants of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, pay homage to King Rama IX on the occasion of “King Naresuan the Great Day”

Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), presided over the Buddhist chanting ceremony and alms giving on the occasion of ‘King Naresuan the Great Day’ on October 13, 2024 to offer merit and commemorate the great kindness of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, with Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, along with executives, civil servants and staff of the Ministry of MSDHS joining the ceremony.

For King Bhumibol Adulyadej Day, which falls on October 13 of every year, it is the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the Great King of Thailand. It is a day to commemorate and pay respect to His Majesty’s great kindness towards
all Thai people, which His Majesty the King has graciously bestowed the name of the anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great as ‘King Bhumibol Day’, as requested by the government. The Cabinet has approved the resolution on September 26, 2023, acknowledging the designation of October 13 of every year as ‘King Bhumibol Day’, which means the day to commemorate the great King Rama IX.
