Urgent order for the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior to act as the Governor of Chiang Rai

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior urgently ordered “Chotinarin”, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, to act as the “Chiang Rai Governor ” and appointed 3 new “Chiang Rai Deputy Governors” to ensure effective flood management.

Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, revealed that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, is concerned about the people in the flood situation in Chiang Rai Province, which requires leaders to manage the situation.

‘To make the integration of assistance and compensation for our people fast, efficient and unified, I have signed an order appointing Mr. Chotinnarin Ketsam, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, to act as the Governor of Chiang Rai Province from now on, as Mr. Anutin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, previously informed the Prime Minister,’ said Mr. Arsit.

Mr. Arsit added that he had also signed an appointment order for Mr. Damrongsak Yo
dthongdee, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Narasak Suksomboon, Deputy Governor of Phuket Province, and Mr. Prasong Lao-on, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Sawan Province, to assume the positions of Deputy Governor of Chiang Rai Province, effective from October 2, 2024 onwards, and transferred Lt. Sarawut Chanthawong, Deputy Governor of Chiang Rai Province, to assume the position of Deputy Governor of Nakhon Sawan Province, as he had to study the National Defense Course (NDC) Class 67, which made him unable to perform his duties to help people during the flood to his full potential. Therefore, it was necessary to transfer someone who was ready to perform the duties instead.
