Her Majesty the Queen attended the Islamic Fashion Festival Bangkok 2024 gala dinner, or Islamic Fashion Festival, at the invitation of the wife of the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia.

Last night (12 Oct 2024) at 8:13 p.m., Her Majesty the Queen attended the gala dinner of the Islamic Fashion Festival Bangkok 2024 or the Islamic Fashion Festival, as invited by the wife of the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia, at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok Hotel, Bang Rak District. Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariyah, the wife of the Sultan of Pahang, Malaysia, and Dato’ Seri Raja Rezza Shah, the founder and chairman of the Islamic Fashion Festival or IFF, were in attendance to welcome Her Majesty.

Dato’ Seri Raja Rezza Shah, a Malaysian artist and founder of IFF, had the idea to use culture as a driving force through the Islamic Fashion Festival to spark interest and awareness, leading to further learning about Islam and breaking down outmoded myths, as well as providing a channel for the exchange of ideas through participant
s of various religions and cultures, encouraging designers to interpret and express Islamic principles and values ??creatively.

The Islamic Fashion Festival continues to present the work of over 250 designers and brands from diverse cultural backgrounds such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cameroon, France, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco and Palestine. It is supported by a network of high-profile figures including royals, leaders, politicians, diplomats, entertainers, the private sector and civil society. In addition to spreading Islamic culture, it also benefits charities that support children, orphans, the homeless and people with various diseases.

On this occasion, Her Majesty the Queen sang the song ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ together with the royal family from various states of Malaysia and important Malaysian people. Thailand and Malaysia established diplomatic relations on August 31, 1957.

At the royal level, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the
Queen Mother made an official visit to Malaysia in 1962. In addition, His Majesty the King, when he was Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, made an official visit to Malaysia at the invitation of the 8th King of Malaysia and represented His Majesty at the celebration of Malaysia’s 50th Independence at the invitation of the 13th King of Malaysia.
