The Prime Minister revealed the success of the 3rd ACD meeting. Many countries praised Thailand for having a good health care system. They are moving forward with trade and investment. Member countries are pleased that Thailand will be the chairman in 2025 and announced their neutrality and peace in the Middle East situation. They pointed out that they do not want innocent lives to be lost.
At 1:50 p.m. local time in Qatar, which is 4 hours behind Thailand, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, spoke about the success of the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) leaders’ meeting, which was the first time on an international stage since assuming office. She said that she was very warmly welcomed and had a conversation with leaders from many countries. Everyone mentioned that Thailand was the initiator of the ACD meeting, and that the meeting had already taken place decades ago. This meeting allowed countries in the Asian region to meet, talk, and help each other. Everyone was determined and wanted to inve
st with Thailand. Many countries also said that they had not invested in large projects together for a long time.
The Prime Minister said that leaders from many countries have asked about Thailand’s interest in technology and AI, and many countries have mentioned Google’s investment in Thailand to exchange ideas. It was found that countries in the Asian region are primarily interested in AI, including introducing AI into the education system.
The Prime Minister said that the meeting had accepted the Doha Degree, and today he mentioned the ACD cooperation framework, in which member countries face geopolitical challenges. As the initiator, he intended to develop from dialogue and exchange to the level of an Asian meeting forum, while adhering to the original principles for countries where there is unrest.
‘Thailand has confirmed its identity as a promoter of peace and shared prosperity to confirm that Thailand does not support violence and has international rules that must be respected. We also want peace in
every country around the world. If we are part of creating peace in this world, we are ready to support it, including emphasizing the protection of innocent lives in accordance with the international UN Charter. This is a message that we are sending to every member country,’ said Ms. Paethongtarn.
During the luncheon for the leaders attending the meeting, it was an informal forum for leaders to exchange ideas and present their views. Thailand presented its readiness in terms of food security, and many countries unanimously stated that Thailand has a good health care system, or wellness, and would like Thailand to invest in it.
The Prime Minister said that member countries expressed their delight that Thailand will become the Chair of the ACD in 2025, and that Thailand will do its utmost.
As for the bilateral discussion with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they discussed trade and investment between each other. Iran is interested in technology. The Iranian leader talked about the tense situat
ion in the Middle East. Thailand expressed its stance that it does not want innocent lives to be lost and wants the world to be peaceful. I talked to President Ilan that the ACD meeting has shown the power of mutual assistance in terms of economy and tourism that each country has. I reflected that this kind of assistance is what I want to happen to the whole world in order to create peace. I expressed my stance that Thailand does not side with any country and is ready to be a mediator if there is a talk to create peace.
In addition, we have talked with the ruler of Qatar, especially about food security, as Thailand has the facilities to store food. If Qatar is interested in ordering food from Thailand, especially during times of unrest, Thailand is ready to send food immediately, which has interested many countries, and we will have the Ministry of Commerce take action, including wanting Thailand to support Halal food and health tourism programs.

he Republic of Tajikistan, who wanted to enhance trade and investment relations with Thailand, tourism, and praised Thailand’s public health system. In addition, the President of Tajikistan liked Thai seafood, having previously traveled to Krabi Province.
The Prime Minister said that he had the opportunity to pay homage to the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Kuwait, who congratulated Thailand on becoming the Chair of ACD. Thailand invited Kuwait to invest in the Land Bridge project. However, Kuwait has not invested in any large projects together for a long time.
The Prime Minister said that Thailand has greatly benefited from this forum and has raised the level of relations with member countries, both in terms of work and open discussions at the leadership level, which has led to closer relations.
