Prime Minister attended the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Leaders’ Meeting before co-signing the Doha Declaration to drive cooperation in sports diplomacy and promote the ACD as a forum for policy discussions among Asian countries.

At 10.20 a.m. local time in Doha, which is 4 hours behind Thailand, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, will join the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) leaders’ meeting and deliver a statement on the ACD stage. The Prime Minister will present her vision to the meeting on various topics, such as the economy, society, and development of other related resources among member countries, including the important topic of using sports for international diplomacy, emphasizing her readiness to drive cooperation under the ACD framework to achieve tangible results on the occasion of Thailand becoming the ACD Chair for the year 2025. She will also jointly endorse the Doha Declaration on driving cooperation in sports diplomacy and promoting the ACD as a forum for international p
olicy discussions in Asia, which will create investment opportunities for businessmen from ACD member countries, promote cooperation in tourism and culture, cooperation in energy and mitigation of the impacts of climate change, and connect the infrastructure of transportation and digital systems.

On the occasion of attending the ACD meeting, the Prime Minister will pay an audience with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Azani, the Emir of Qatar, and the Crown Prince and Deputy Emir of Kuwait, as well as meet with leaders from several countries, such as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, will host an official luncheon for the Prime Ministers and leaders of the 35 member states attending the official meeting.

In addition, the Prime Minister is scheduled to pay an audience with the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Kuwait, as well as hold a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to str
engthen relations and further cooperation in various fields.
