Lao PDR, 8 Oct – “Paethongtarn”, Prime Minister, attended a dinner party, reiterating the Thai-Laos relationship, determined to continue working, strengthening cooperation in all areas for the benefit of the people of both countries.

Reporters reported from the Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane at 7:00 p.m. that Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and her entourage attended a reception to honor the Prime Minister, hosted by Mr. Sonxay Siphandon, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed the content of the Prime Minister’s thank-you speech at the banquet, saying that the Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Sonxay and the Lao PDR government for the warm welcome on this official visit, making it the first country to make an official visit after assuming office, reflecting the importance of our relationship as close and close neighbors.

The Prime Minister is committed to continuing the work and strengthening Thai-Lao cooperation in all areas for
the benefit and to promote closer relations between the governments and peoples of the two countries. The Prime Minister was impressed by the closeness from the opportunity to join the Lao New Year merit-making ceremony at the Lao PDR Embassy in Bangkok last April.

The Prime Minister welcomed the special relationship that is closely connected by language and culture, and can communicate without the need for an interpreter. In addition, Thailand and Lao PDR also have comprehensive cooperation. It is a country with the most cooperation mechanisms and the most cooperation in developing infrastructure for connectivity and transportation. Currently, there is a railway route from Bangkok to Vientiane, which is considered the first railway route in ASEAN that connects the capitals of the two countries. It is very popular with the people of the two countries, which not only connects trade, investment, transportation, and tourism, but also brings people closer together.

Throughout 2025, both Thailand and Lao PDR wil
