Government House, 8 Oct – “Suang” dismisses Pheu Thai MP meeting, no agenda to track down “Pisan” after Tak Bai case nears expiration, prepares to propose compensation to the Cabinet to provide soft loans to tourism operators affected by flooding.

Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, said about the weekly MP meeting that there was no special discussion, it was a normal meeting, including no discussion of the case of Gen. Pisal Wattanawongkiri, Pheu Thai Party-list MP and former commander of the 4th Army, who was issued an arrest warrant after failing to appear as summoned in the Tak Bai case.

As for the relief measures for tourism entrepreneurs affected by the floods in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces, Mr. Surawong said that there are already measures in place.
