Miscellaneous

The Department of Meteorology clarified the rumor that “Tropical Storm Cimaron” entered Japan, not affecting Thailand.

From rumors circulating through social media. The Department of Meteorology would like to clarify that Tropical Storm Cimaron, which is currently in the Pacific Ocean, is expected to move up to the south of Japan and weaken accordingly, with the formation of a new low pressure in the eastern part of the Philippines and likely to strengthen into a tropical cyclone and typhoon before moving towards the island of Taiwan.

Meanwhile, a high pressure or cold air mass from China descended over Upper Vietnam on September 30, 2024 and continued to descend. This has caused Thailand to have more rainfall. After that, the weather will be cooler, with this storm not directly affecting Thailand and will move more ashore in eastern China, which will not move down towards Vietnam and the upper northern part of Thailand, and may weaken before making landfall.

In the event of a serious weather change, The
Meteorological Department will continue to issue an official warning. If a tropical cyclone occurs, a warning will be announced at least 3 days in advance.
