“Thawee” does not oppose amending the constitution to set the ethical framework for ministers, but it must be made clear so that people can read it and understand it. Waiting to discuss with the coalition parties who will be the main host.

Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice and leader of the Prachachat Party, gave an interview regarding the case where Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, as the coordinator of the coalition parties, will meet with the leaders of the coalition parties regarding the amendment of the draft constitution, which has been criticized as repeating the amnesty bill, saying that Mr. Phumtham has not yet made an appointment and society is still confused, and talking about it will cause division. He himself believes that it must be improved to be clear because in a democratic regime with the King as Head of State, we have clear written laws that are not hidden, so that people can read them and understand them, including judges who read them.
Otherwise, if there are hidden words, the law will be the private property of some groups, causing conflict. He himself does not deny the issue of ethics because it is important, and people want to demand that the origins of politicians must be accepted, but some words are ambiguous and have no boundaries.

When asked whether it should be clearly stated what is and what is not, Pol. Col. Thawee said that this constitution came from a vote of the people. The coalition parties must come to an understanding together and see if it is rushed or not. Time, situation, opportunity. If the constitution is to be amended in the big picture, the Constituent Assembly must do it and return the power to the people as the drafters. The owners of the country must be respected.
