Speed ??up electricity supply for Mae Sai flood victims – deliver medicine

PM reveals that the Forward Command Center is coordinating with the Ministry of Interior to expedite electricity for Mae Sai flood victims, and has ordered the Ministry of Public Health to provide additional medicine and foot rot. The Cabinet has approved the 9,000 baht/household compensation framework before submitting it to the Cabinet next week.

Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, announced after the cabinet meeting that the cabinet meeting ordered the Flood, Storm and Landslide Relief Operation Center (FSOC) to report the situation to the cabinet meeting for the cabinet meeting to be aware and to coordinate with relevant government agencies. Today, the FSOC has reported to the Ministry of Interior to expedite the electricity supply to houses in Mae Sai District and has asked the Ministry of Public Health to provide additional medicines for water-related illnesses, such as medicine for athlete’s foot, including EM balls, and for all departments to report to the FSOC every day at 9:00 a.m. and 3:
00 p.m. to closely monitor the situation.

The Prime Minister also said that he had spoken with Ms. Thirat Rattanawanich, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Gen. Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, who were at the work site and reported that he had talked to the villagers about the people’s needs.

As for the approval of the second round of flood relief framework, the Prime Minister stated that the meeting approved the relief framework as studied in detail by the NESDB subcommittee, and the Ministry of Interior proposed adjusting the flood relief criteria to 9,000 per household due to the severe situation. This criteria will be submitted to the cabinet meeting next week.
