A shocking accident: A dashboard camera captured the moment when a mysterious object crashed through the windshield of a six-wheeled vehicle and hit the head of the unconscious driver, causing the vehicle to lose control and fall off the road, severely injuring the driver.
Footage from a dashboard camera captured the moment when a six-wheel truck driver was driving on the road. Then, a mysterious object was seen flying through the windshield and hitting the driver’s head with such force that the driver lost consciousness and leaned to the side. This caused the speeding vehicle to gradually lose control and climb the median strip. The vehicle then veered to the left and plunged into a canal beside the road, with the driver still unconscious inside the vehicle.
The Chonburi City Police were initially notified that a truck had lost control and fallen into a canal on the side of the road on the Chonburi bypass road heading into Bangkok, Tambon Ban Suan, Amphoe Mueang, Chonburi Province. After receiving the rep
ort, they rushed to investigate along with the Trai Khunnatham Foundation rescue unit. At the scene, they found a 6-wheel, closed-box, white truck with a Chachoengsao license plate. The front of the truck was badly damaged and lying on its side in the canal on the side of the road. Upon inspection, they found that Mr. Atthaphong, 42 years old, the driver of the truck, was still in a daze. When asked, he could not remember anything. He had a severe head wound and a crushed skull. Rescue workers provided first aid before taking him to Chonburi Hospital.
Mr. Sakmongkol, assistant manager of the 6-wheel truck, traveled to inspect the damage and revealed that the truck had received goods from Laem Chabang Port and was delivering them to Suvarnabhumi Airport. When he arrived at the scene of the accident, he was not sure what had happened, but he used the dashcam and the inside camera to check and found that a mysterious object was flying from the front of the truck and hit the driver in the head, causing him to lo
se consciousness and lose control of the truck and fall into the canal beside the road. Initial assumptions are that it might be a rock or an iron bolt.
However, the police will urgently search for the suspicious object in the car to determine what it is and will request to see the CCTV footage in the area of ??the incident to see who threw the object or which car it flew from, in order to proceed with legal action.
