BANGKOK: Police have seized four additional vehicles belonging to key figures known as Boss Paul and Boss Kant, as investigators continue to compile evidence in a significant fraud case. The cars were confiscated by the Consumer Protection Police Division and are part of the ongoing investigation linked to The Icon Group. Authorities are set to present their findings to a larger working group tomorrow.

According to Thai News Agency, the vehicles include three cars owned by Boss Paul, also known as Mr. Waratphon, and a Benz van that was a birthday gift to Kant Kantathaworn from Boss Paul. This development comes as victims of the fraud continue to file complaints with the Central Investigation Bureau, bringing the total number of complainants to over 4,743. The estimated damages from the fraud have reached nearly 1.4 billion baht.

The investigation is currently facing challenges in executing arrest warrants for 18 key executives involved in the fraud due to incomplete case files. Investigators are working aga
inst the clock to finalize the case summaries to meet detention deadlines. There are additional victims located both in provincial areas and abroad who are in the process of gathering evidence to file their complaints. If these victims are unable to file by Thursday, October 31, 2024, investigators will have to prioritize the prosecution of the current suspects, assigning new case numbers to any complaints filed afterward to prevent delays.

This morning, a small team from the Consumer Protection Police Division convened to review the case details and prepare a comprehensive report for a larger meeting, which will include Pol. Lt. Gen. Akkaradech Pimolsri, Assistant Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, and the lead investigator in this case.
