After the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA) together with Buakaw Banchamek, a famous Thai boxer, and Jimmy Vienot, a famous French boxer, opened the teaching of Muay Thai skills to a large number of interested foreign Muay Thai families at the Teddy Reiner Arena in Paris, France, which is one of the activities to bring the sport of “Muay Thai” to be shown in a virtual competition during the 2024 Olympic Games “Paris Games”, it was lively along with the awarding of training certificates from IFMA, with representatives from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) joining as observers.

After learning the skills and receiving the certificate, many foreign Muay Thai boxers lined up to get autographs and take photos with Buakaw Banchamek as souvenirs. ‘Bu
akaw’ revealed that he was proud to be considered an idol in Muay Thai in the eyes of foreigners. He considered it a good thing that inspired him and made him determined to train in Muay Thai. The 2024 Olympics is the first step in promoting Muay Thai during the Olympic Games. If Muay Thai is considered to be included in the Olympic Games in the future, Thai people will be happy and proud.

Meanwhile, at the Olympic House in Paris, there was a signing ceremony for the promotion of Muay Thai between IFMA led by Dr. Sakchai Tapsuwan as the president, Stefan Fox, IFMA Secretary-General and Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association, together with the President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee to support and promote Muay Thai by including Muay Thai in the future Muslim Unity Games. IFMA will support the organization of the competition and referees according to IFMA standards.
