Mr. Saritpong Kiewkhong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krabi Province, Bhumjaithai Party, spoke about the case where Bhumjaithai Party is preparing to send a person to hold the position of First Speaker of the House of Representatives, saying that it is the responsibility of the party executives, who personally are not party executives and therefore cannot answer the question clearly, but believe that there will be discussions among the coalition parties.
Next week, it will be brought to the meeting for a vote to select the most suitable person to be the first Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. As for who it will be, I am not sure because I have heard from many people through the media who hav
e reported it in the news, namely Mr. Sophon Saram, MP for Buriram Province, Bhumjaithai Party, and Mr. Paradorn Prisananantakul, Deputy Leader of Bhumjaithai Party, who are considered to be quality individuals.
However, we must wait for the resolution of the Bhumjaithai Party again on who to send, and it is expected that there will be clarity by Tuesday. As for sending a suitable person to the position of the first Speaker of the House of Representatives, there probably won’t be any competitors.
Mr. Srisaphong also revealed that the promotion of Mr. Pichet Chueamuangphan, the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, to the first deputy speaker is not possible in principle because it requires royal approval and is a fixed position. If there is a promotion, the person must resign in order to enter a new vote.
