Royal Thai Air Force Honors King Chulalongkorn with Wreath-Laying Ceremony

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Air Force conducted a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to honor King Chulalongkorn, also known as Rama V, commemorating ‘Piyamaharaj Day,’ a day marking the anniversary of the revered king’s passing.

According to Thai News Agency, Air Chief Marshal Panphakdi Pattanakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, accompanied by Ms. Montira Pattanakul, President of the Royal Thai Air Force Wives Association, and senior officers and officials, participated in the ceremony. They laid wreaths at the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn on the lawn in front of the Royal Thai Air Force and National Aviation Museum. This act of homage was a tribute to the profound impact and kindness of King Chulalongkorn, who is deeply revered by the Thai people. His contributions to the nation earned him the royal title ‘Somdet Phra Piyamaharaj,’ which means ‘the King who is most beloved by all.’
