Push the waterfall in the middle of the valley to become a tourist attraction in Yasothon

Miscellaneous

Beautiful in the middle of the valley, take a walk to ‘Hin Kho Waterfall’ hidden in the forest, Yasothon Province, preparing to push it to be a natural adventure tourist attraction, hoping to stimulate the economy and generate income for local people.

Bung Kha Subdistrict Municipality, Loeng Nok Tha District, Yasothon Province, surveyed the area of ??the waterfall in the middle of a deep valley by walking up the mountain to the waterfall, a distance of about 3 kilometers, and then reaching the waterfall, which the locals call Hin Kho Waterfall (the word Kho is a Phu Thai word, derived from the Lao word Khua, which means bridge. Most of the locals are Phu Thai, so they call this waterfall Hin Kho Waterfall or Stone Bridge). It is a natural waterfall with its source flowing from the forest in the middle of the valley, then flowing together into a small stream, winding through the cracks of the rocks, passing through various islands and rapids and large and small pools. Between the two sides of the stream, the
re is a stone slab connecting to form a walkway, similar to a bridge, for people to walk across, so the locals call it Hin Kho.

From Saphan Hin Kho, there is a stream that flows along the rocky crevices for about 100 meters before flowing down the cliff, becoming a waterfall more than 5 meters high, into a clear and cool pool below, surrounded by nature covered with various types of trees, cool all day long. The stream and pool are not very deep, so it is suitable for swimming all day long.

Mr. Somjit Wongsamak, Deputy Mayor of Bung Kha Subdistrict Municipality, said that Hin Kho Waterfall has been around for a long time, but most people don’t know about it, except for the locals. This is because it is located in the middle of a forest in a deep valley. You have to walk to reach the waterfall. In the past, Bung Kha Subdistrict Municipality, together with many former governors of Yasothon Province, have surveyed and tried to promote it as a natural tourist attraction many times. However, there is a problem w
ith Hin Kho Waterfall being in the Phu Sa Dok Bua National Park area. You have to submit a request for permission to use the area in order for the park to grant permission. However, the matter was hushed up and there was no further development. As a result, this waterfall has not been developed until now.

Later, people who knew each other started to visit and took pictures and posted them on social media until many people became interested and gradually came to visit more and more, especially during long holidays and weekends. Therefore, Bung Kha Subdistrict Municipality is preparing to promote it as another natural tourist attraction to stimulate the economy and generate income for local people.

For the route to Hin Kho Waterfall, there are 2 routes: the first is a walk from the point where cars can reach it, up the mountain along a natural path to Hin Kho Waterfall, a distance of approximately 3 kilometers. The second route is also a natural path, but four-wheel drive pickup trucks, walking tractors, or l
ocal e-taek vehicles can go up by following the natural path, a distance of approximately 4 kilometers, to Hin Kho Waterfall.

Those interested in traveling to visit Hin Kho Waterfall and experience nature up close in an adventure format can visit every day.
