### Public Trust in Police Soars as Satisfaction Rises Over Icon Case Handling

BANGKOK: A recent survey reveals a significant increase in public satisfaction with the Thai police’s handling of the high-profile Icon case, with a large majority of respondents expressing confidence in law enforcement efforts.

According to Thai News Agency, the Super Poll Research Center conducted a comprehensive survey on public satisfaction regarding police performance in the Icon case. The study, which included both quantitative and qualitative research, gathered data from 1,160 participants across various professions nationwide between October 17-19, 2024. The findings indicate that 93.6% of respondents actively followed news about the case, reflecting strong public interest and engagement.

The survey highlighted the complexity and influence of those involved in the Icon movement, with 87.5% of participants acknowledging the difficulty and intricate nature of the case. The report also identified several reasons why individuals were adversely affected by the movement, including greed (92.9%), infatuati
on (90.8%), misunderstandings in investing (87.4%), negligence of government agencies (65.3%), and corruption (64.9%).

The results demonstrate high satisfaction levels with police efforts in the case, with 88.7% of respondents reporting being very satisfied. This positive perception underscores the importance of transparency and effective communication in law enforcement, as well as the role of societal support in motivating police officers to perform their duties with integrity.

The Super Poll report emphasizes the need for continued social media engagement to appreciate and promote the work of the police, suggesting that public encouragement can foster an environment conducive to honest and transparent practices. At the same time, the report calls for vigilant oversight by society and the media to prevent misconduct and ensure accountability within government agencies.
