Prime Minister Orders Allocation of State Land to Small-Scale Residents.

Bangkok: The Prime Minister has directed all government agencies to allocate unused state land to small-scale residents for housing and farming purposes. This initiative aims to provide residents with rights-based property that can be used as collateral for bank loans, along with expediting the disbursement of the 2025 budget to stimulate economic growth.

According to Thai News Agency, Jirayu Huangsap, the spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the Prime Minister instructed the Cabinet to consider distributing unused state land, such as crown property and land controlled by the military, to small-scale residents. This includes land in inner Bangkok to minimize travel costs and enhance labor efficiency for residents.

The Prime Minister has tasked the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Interior with forming a working group to facilitate land procurement and establish contracts with villagers under the rights-based property scheme. This plan allows residents to use the land for living, far
ming, and as loan collateral. Additionally, there are considerations for further real estate stimulus measures. The Prime Minister has also urged government agencies to quickly disburse over 960 billion baht in investment funds to meet economic targets and to improve digital data integration across agencies to support a digital society.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister has ordered relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Industry and the Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning, to expedite urban planning in the EEC area. This is intended to foster industrial growth in the eastern provinces and build confidence among investors.
