“Prasert”, Minister of Digital Economy, confirms that the Digital Wallet Phase 2 will not fail, asks to wait for clarity from the working group, the issue of the application is still unclear, expects to have clarity before the end of the fiscal year.
Mr. Prasert Jantarawongthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society, talked about the progress of the application to support the digital wallet project, saying that he would like to leave it to the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) (DGA), which originally intended to make the government application an application to support the digital wallet project. After the government announced its policy last week, he wanted to wait and see the work of the working group to see what the next policy is. He thought that there should be good news for the people before the end of the fiscal year.
When asked if the public was afraid that the Digital Wallet Phase 2 project would be dropped because the application was not yet
concrete, Mr. Prasert confirmed that it would not be dropped. The application was in progress. The assistance for the 14.5 million vulnerable groups was already ready, and the government had just been formed. Many things depend on the government’s policy statement, which is now complete. Moving forward on this matter will not be delayed.
