Prime Minister Settha Thavisin spoke about the issue of Thap Lan National Park, which is a conservation area, and the people’s agricultural land. How should it be managed to create a balance between each other? He said that the relevant ministers had already explained this matter, which was a resolution from the previous cabinet, with General Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister at that time, as the chairman. It is a matter for the National Land Policy Committee (NLPC) to investigate the facts, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment must comply with the relevant laws. Another important thing is to listen to the people’s opinions before revoking them, which has many processes that must be carried out in accordance wi
th the law and presented to the Cabinet.

As for the case that often occurs, it is found that there are groups of capitalists occupying Sor Por Kor land. What will be done? The Prime Minister stated that it is according to the law. It is not possible to do that. There are already people living in the Thap Lan area.

When asked if it was necessary to cancel the Cabinet resolution of 2023, the Prime Minister stated that it was not because it was still under study and had to be considered in its entirety first, including the ONE MAP issue, which was part of the consideration.
