Government House, 8 Oct. – “Paethongtarn” explains that appointing “Nattawut”, the Prime Minister’s advisor, has nothing to do with managing the mob, but accepts that the timing is just right. Reveals that they have been talking all along. Refuses to answer questions about the “Pisan” case in Tak Bai.

At 10.50 am, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, talked about the reason for appointing Mr. Nattawut Saikua as an advisor to the Prime Minister. Is it related to responding to the protests or politics specifically? She said that this may be a suitable time but it is not related. Because they worked together when they were part of the Pheu Thai family and saw his abilities in many matters, whether it was politics or management, which he had always advised her on. Therefore, she thought that this timing was suitable for Mr. Nattawut to come in and work. Outside of work, they talked and consulted each other often and thought that he would be very useful.

The Prime Minister then excused himself from the
media interview as he had to rush to catch a plane at Don Mueang Military Airport 2, Wing 6 at 11:50 a.m. to visit the Lao People’s Democratic Republic officially and attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits in Vientiane, Lao PDR. However, reporters tried to ask Nattawut why he was willing to swallow his own blood and flesh to come back to work with the government, to which the Prime Minister did not answer.

When reporters asked about the Pheu Thai Party’s stance on the case of Lt. Gen. Pisal Wattanawongkiri, a party-list MP who had an arrest warrant issued by the court in the Tak Bai case, the Prime Minister did not answer the question and said, “May I please run a little to get in the car?” The Prime Minister then got in the car and immediately left Government House. -316 – Thai News Agency
