Parliament, Senators give the green light to “Phattharasak”, former Deputy President of the Supreme Court, to sit as a member of the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Senate meeting today (20 Feb.) with General Singsuk Singprai, Vice President of the Senate. Acting as chairman of the meeting to consider giving approval to Mr. Phattharasak Wannasaeng, former Vice President of the Supreme Court. Is a person who has been nominated to serve as a member of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) according to the Standing Committee’s duty to examine the history of conduct and ethical behavior of persons who have been nominated. Nominated for position NACC has completed its background investigation. Before sending it to the Senate meeting to vote on whether to approve it or not.

It was a secret meeting that took approximately 1 hour before the senators were given a secret vote in voting. The results showed that Mr. Phattharasak Received 186 votes for approval, 2 points for disapproval, 5 points for abst
ention, considered to have received more than half of the votes for approval. Senators who were able to perform their duties or 125 votes allowed Mr. Phattharasak to be elected as a member of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC)-312.
