Lively, Maya Bay, Phi Phi opens for the first day after being closed for almost 2 months, expecting more than 4,000 tourists per day.

Tourists wait in line to board the boat at Loh Samah Bay pier, the entrance to Maya Bay, Phi Phi Leh Island, Ao Nang Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. Officials from Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Krabi Province, are facilitating and taking care of safety. Today is the first day the area is open to tourists after the park announced the closure of Maya Bay for 2 months to allow nature to recover during the low season.

Mr. Yutthaphong Damsrisuk, Head of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Krabi Province, revealed that Maya Bay is a tourist attraction that generates a huge amount of income for Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Krabi Province, because it is a paradise beach that tourists from all over the world pin to visit. The island will be divided into 11 rounds, each round not exceeding 1 hour, with a limit of
375 people per round, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For tourism at Maya Bay, the park has set 9 strict measures for ecotourism, such as prohibiting the collection of coral, sea fans, shells and all types of sea animals, prohibiting the bringing and using of sunscreen with chemical components that are harmful to coral, prohibiting the bringing and using of foam containers, prohibiting the littering and prohibiting the feeding of fish, which tourists must strictly comply with.
