The Education, Culture, Research and Technology Ministry is open to ideas and opinions on the National Education System Bill (RUU Sisdiknas), according to the ministry’s Acting Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology  Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie.

“We will always be open to inputs and notes from various stakeholders to enrich and give more comprehensive insights,” she said at the National Education Seminar, entitled “Studying and Perfecting the National Education System Bill,” held by Jakarta State University and followed online here on Thursday.

According to Tjahjandarie, the bill itself, in principle, is a action taken by the government to create an education system that is more ideal and integrated, starting from the institutional system to the profession of educators.

“We want to integrate the National Education Law, the Teachers and Lecturers Law, and the Higher Education Law into one law to carry out the mandate of the 1945 Constitution on the education system so that the arrangements do not overlap each other,” she said.
