Government House, 8 Oct. – “Narumon” reveals preparation to propose to the National Reform Council (NRC) to request a central budget of 3,200 million baht to restore agricultural areas after the flood recedes. Expected to enter the Cabinet next week.

Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, gave an interview about the proposed budget to rehabilitate and help farmers affected by the floods. She said that this matter will have two parts. The compensation money will be the budget of the province, which will be divided into categories: field crops, horticulture, fisheries, and livestock. The Department of Agricultural Extension will assess this matter and coordinate with the Ministry of the Interior to distribute the compensation money as soon as possible.

The part that the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is preparing to present for the central budget is the matter of the rehabilitation after the flood recedes. The central budget will be 3,200 million baht. The rest will be
