Bangkok, Deputy Secretary-General of Move Forward Party confirms the party is ready to compete for the provincial administrative organization president in many provinces, but has not announced the details for fear of being at a disadvantage. He is waiting for the party to make a clear announcement about the candidate for the provincial administrative organization president of Chaiyaphum tomorrow (July 8). He ignores the big house’s bullets and is confident that he will lose the trend.

Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, MP of the Move Forward Party and Deputy Secretary-General of the party, said at the 3rd Move Camp event in Nonthaburi Province about the progress of the election of the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) for both the mayor and the PAO council members nationwide that the party is quite ready in 10-20 provinces. Yesterday (July 6), the party trained the PAO and municipality candidates about the preparation of local policies and budgets.

Mr. Nattapong also emphasized that the reason why the
Move Forward Party did not send a candidate for the president of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization was not due to the party’s unpreparedness, but rather a political technique in the area. He emphasized that the party’s process of preparing local candidates had already passed the process, but launching them early could cause a political disadvantage. However, the party’s candidates for the president of the Provincial Administrative Organization had all passed the selection process, but if any locality resigned, the party was ready to send them.

As for the trend of Pheu Thai bringing in big families to compete in the election, Mr. Nattapong insisted that the Move Forward Party is not afraid of the trend of big families. He believes that what will change politics is to let the people participate and is confident that the trend will lose to the trend.

Mr. Natthaphong also mentioned the submission of candidates for the Chaiyaphum Provincial Administrative Organization president, which will
open for applications tomorrow (8 July), saying that he asked the party to wait for an official announcement because he was afraid that problems would occur like in Pathum Thani province.

As for the progress of the election field for the mayor of Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, Mr. Adisorn Kownuengsri, head of the Nonthaburi branch of the Move Forward Party, revealed that the Move Forward Party has now found a candidate for the mayor of Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, but will not introduce the candidate at this time. As for the candidates for the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization Council, they are currently in the process of being recruited, with more than 70 interested candidates, but 36 must be selected.

Meanwhile, today (July 7), the Move Forward Party organized the 3rd Move Camp event in Nonthaburi Province to allow party members to exchange ideas and drive the future of Thailand and Nonthaburi Province together with the Move Forward Party’s Nonthab
uri MPs who were able to win the election in the entire province, along with Move Forward Party MPs and Bangkok Council members from other areas. Mr. Nattapong stated that the main objective of this forum is to allow party members to travel with the Move Forward Party to participate in designing policies and to open a forum for members to speak and MPs to listen. In addition, to prepare for the Move Forward Party becoming the executive branch, it will need a larger team. Therefore, it is an opportunity for party members to participate in preparing for the future.
