Bangkok, 8 Oct – The Meteorological Department revealed that the lower northeastern, lower central, and eastern regions will experience increased rainfall. The upper northeastern and upper northern regions will experience cool weather in the morning. Bangkok and its vicinity will have a 40% chance of thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours. The high-pressure area or cold air mass covering the upper part of Thailand and the South China Sea is starting to weaken. This will result in the easterly winds blowing over the lower northeastern region, lower central region, eastern region, and the Gulf of Thailand. This will cause more rain in the aforementioned areas. The upper northeastern region and the upper northern region will still have cool weather in the morning. People in the upper part of Thailand should take care of their health due to the changing weather.

As the monsoon trough passes through the central southern region, some areas in the area will experi
ence heavy rain. People in the southern region should be careful of the dangers of heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands.

As for waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the waves are less than 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms, the waves are 1-2 meters high. Sailors are advised to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.

Bangkok and its vicinity will have thunderstorms in 40 percent of the area. Minimum temperature 25-26 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature 33-35 degrees Celsius. – Thai News Agency
