More than 30 journalists, reporters, and media workers from 20 central and local press and media agencies attended training on gender equality and violence against women and girls in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on October 28 – 29. The session, organised by the UN Women and the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam, took place ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls (November 25) and the national action month for gender equality and gender-based domestic violence prevention and response.
