Mr. Ek Isara, 27 years old, the perpetrator who stabbed a Burmese man to death behind a shopping mall in the Happy Land area yesterday (July 21), surrendered to the Lat Phrao Police Investigation Division. The police investigators have been questioning him in detail since this morning.

Initially, there was a report from the police investigators that Mr. Ek Isara confessed that while riding a motorcycle, he was cut off by the deceased’s group riding a motorcycle and refused to get out to apologize. After that, they had an argument, claiming that the deceased’s group had verbally abused his parents, until a fight broke out and they fought. However, due to anger and because the perpetrator was small and could not
fight back, the perpetrator claimed that he used a knife he was carrying to stab the deceased twice. After that, he rode his motorcycle to escape and set up camp in Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani Province, intending to surrender to the police anyway. Before this morning, the perpetrator contacted the police to surrender, traveling with his girlfriend and the evidence, which was a knife, but the perpetrator did not ride the motorcycle that caused the incident.

Police are currently collecting evidence to request an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court and to press charges. They will proceed with the case on charges of intentional murder and carrying a knife in public. Initial investigations indicate that the perpetrator is a marijuana dealer, but no drugs were found in his system. He will be taken to the Ratchada Criminal Court for detention tomorrow morning (July 23) and bail will be opposed.
