The atmosphere on the first day of the Vegetarian Festival in Khon Kaen Province was lively, especially at Bang Lamphu Fresh Market, which organized an event to bring vegetarian restaurants from all over the country to Khon Kaen Province. At the vegetarian food pavilion, many people came to eat.

Ms. Aryanee Niampradit, Manager of Bang Lamphu Fresh Market, Khon Kaen Province, provided information for organizing the annual Vegetarian Festival. This year, the market responded to the needs of most consumers who would travel to buy food to cook vegetarian food. Therefore, the market facilitated by bringing 12 famous vegetarian restaurants from around the country to sell for the convenience of consumers.

Vegetarian Festival activities at the market have been organized for over 30 years, selecting shops that make delicious, clean food at low prices, starting at 25 baht and not exceeding 40 baht, such as vegetarian pizza, vegetarian noodles, vegetarian fried tofu, etc. and such activities create awareness for peopl
e who have never eaten vegetarian food to try it and invite everyone to come and experience it at Bang Lamphu Market from today until October 11. It is expected that this year the market will generate income during the Vegetarian Festival of over 1 million baht.

As for the price of raw ingredients for cooking, such as fresh vegetables in season, the price remains stable and not very high because the Northeast region has not been affected by the floods.

At the Sawang Khon Kaen Samakkhi Uthit Foundation in Khon Kaen Province, more than 100 people who heard the news had been waiting since the morning, making the atmosphere of the Vegetarian Festival lively from the first day.

Mr. Chaisit Sitthiamornporn, President of the Sawang Khon Kaen Samakkhi Uthit Foundation in Khon Kaen Province, provided information that the foundation has started the vegetarian food pavilion for the third year to help the people, especially during this time when the economy is not so good. Last year, 1,000 people came to the pavilion
every day, and this year, they have prepared enough food. It is expected that approximately 2,000 people will come to the pavilion per day. This morning, people who saw the sign came to inquire. The foundation’s vegetarian food pavilion allows people to take food home. Just bring your own container. The pavilion will be open from October 3rd to 11th, with two sessions: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Khon Kaen Province, there is another main vegetarian food distribution point at Hok Siang Tung Vegetarian Restaurant, which helps create a lively atmosphere for this year’s vegetarian festival.
