Jiraporn” opens the Southern Village Fund, believes the “Pheu Thai government” will continue the mission of restoring the grassroots economy and increasing income sustainably.
Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Acting Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, presided over the opening ceremony of the activity “Stability of Village Funds, Sustainable Strong Communities” and the workshop of the Village and Urban Community Fund Network in the South, organized by the Village and Urban Community Fund Office (VCO) at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center, Prince of Songkla University, with Mr. Mahamapisakree Wamae, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province and the Village Fund Network from every district in the South participating.
Ms. Jiraporn said that the National Village and Urban Community Fund is a policy that was established since 2001 in the government led by Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra to be a source of money for the people to use in creating jobs and careers
, continuing until the government of Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, where the village fund still focuses on reducing household inequality sustainably. She believes that the new government led by Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, which has the DNA of the Pheu Thai Party in full, will continue the work and create new successes for the village and community fund policy, which is entering its 23rd year, by focusing on giving importance to the grassroots economy system based on democratic principles, opening up space for ‘people think, people use, people manage’, creating a process of thinking together, working together, creating a good life and well-being for the community.
Ms. Jiraporn also added that this activity was organized in 4 regions across the country, reflecting that the government led by the Pheu Thai Party gave importance to the people in all regions, especially the South, which was the first area that Mr. Settha Thavisin, former Prime Minister, chose to visit to listen to the problems of the people. He has co
ntinuously returned to visit other provinces in the South throughout his tenure as Prime Minister.
The activity ‘Stable Village Fund, Sustainable Strong Community’ in Songkhla Province is the third activity after the previous two in Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai Provinces, which received very good feedback from the fund members. After this, there will be an activity in the central region in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province on August 19.
