The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, together with DSI Region 5, Forest Resources Office 1, went to inspect the land belonging to “Boss Kant” in Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province after a famous page pointed out. From the inspection, it was found that the area in question was in the name of “Boss Kant” and that the title deed was legally issued.

At 10:30 a.m. on October 21, 2024, the 4th Division, Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division, Chiang Mai Province, together with the 1st Forest Resource Management Office, Chiang Mai Province and Mr. Somchai Tichai, Director of DSI Area 5, went to inspect the land of Mr. Kant Kantathaworn or Boss Kant, a suspect in the Icon Group case, after a famous page pointed out to the authorities to investigate whether the land was in a forest area or not and whether it was an asset obtained from the Icon Group business or not.

In this field inspection, officials from Forest Resources Office 1 used drones to survey and found that Bo
ss Kan’s area is next to Wat Kiri Khet (Wat Thung Pong), extending to the Mae Tha Chang River, Ban Pong Subdistrict, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province, covering a total area of ??7 rai and 70 square wa, which is currently rented out to villagers for growing vegetables. The area is separated from the Mae Tha Chang and Mae Khanin forests.

In addition, the area also has a valid land title deed, which the officials have asked Mr. Bancha Phakdikhiri, the village headman of Village No. 4, Tambon Ban Pong, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai Province, to help point out the boundary markers. After the inspection, the officials will forward this matter to the relevant agencies for further detailed examination and consideration of how to proceed.

For the said land, it was found that the land title deed was issued on March 25, 2010. Later, on November 30, 2018, Mr. Kant Kantathaworn (the buyer) bought the said land, area 7 rai 70 square wah (no buildings) from Mr. Kitti, located in Bangkok Province, according to the
sales contract of the Land Office, showing the purchase price of 2,500,000 baht (the appraisal price according to the property appraisal record is 750 baht per square wah, totaling 2870 square wah, calculated as an appraisal price of 2,152,500 baht).

On March 21, 2022, Mr. Kant Kantathaworn filed a request to divide 70 square wah of public utility land, leaving the remaining area shown on the title deed of 7 rai. However, ‘Boss Kant’ had previously advertised this land on Instagram for 40 million, but it had not been sold yet. ‘Boss Kant’ was arrested first.

However, it has been reported that the DSI officers have now inspected the land of Boss The Icon, all 18 of whom have been found to have purchased land in the northern region, including Chiang Mai and Lampang provinces.
