Heavy rain, PEA cuts off power in many areas

The heavy rain, flash floods and flash floods in the northern and northeastern regions have prevented the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) from entering the area to fix the distribution system, resulting in power outages in many areas.

PEA reported that heavy rains damaged roads, caused landslides, damaged electrical systems in homes, and in some areas there was still high flooding. PEA had to cut off electricity for safety reasons, resulting in a total of 2,935 electricity users being affected, who were in the following areas:

Mae Sai District, Mae Fah Luang District, Doi Luang District, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai Province

Mae Ai District, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Phrao District, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province

Ngao District, Lampang Province

Sam Ngao District, Tak Province

Sri Samrong District, Sukhothai Province

Wang Saphung District, Loei Province

Mueang Nakhon Phanom District, Si Songkhram District, Na Wa District, Nathom District, Nakhon Phanom Province

Sangkhom District,
Udon Thani Province

Akat Amnuay District, Sakon Nakhon Province

If the relevant agencies adjust the road conditions to allow access to the area and the water level returns to normal, PEA will expedite the repair of the distribution system so that people can have electricity quickly and safely.
