Heavy rain in Chachoengsao leaves shrimp fishing sedan stuck for over 15 hours.

4 young men went to catch shrimp along the Bang Pakong River before encountering heavy rain for over 15 hours, causing their sedan to get stuck. They called for help from rescue workers, but in the end the rescue workers became victims themselves. They had to call for help from 3 more vehicles before they were able to successfully pull the sedan out.

Chachoengsao rescue workers were contacted to help pull a shrimp fisherman’s car that was stuck in the mud by the Bang Pakong River in a deserted forest by the river in Lat Khwang Subdistrict, Ban Pho District. They brought a 4-wheel drive off-road vehicle with Chachoengsao rescue workers to help.

The accident occurred on a dirt road that branched off into the main road about 30 meters deep. A Toyota Vios sedan was parked in the mud and unable to move. Another white Toyota Vios sedan was parked inside.

Rescue workers drove in to help pull the two sedans out, but the cars got stuck because the mud in that area was clay. The more they drove, the deeper they sank
. They contacted the unit to send officers and 3 off-road vehicles to provide support.

When support arrived, they helped pull the first rescue vehicle that was stuck blocking the road out. They planned to drag the winch cable inside. The rescue workers walked through the mud to help and were able to successfully get both sedans out. After that, they used the rescue unit’s rapid-fire trucks to spray wash the cars, clean the windows, and wheels of both cars.

One of the victims revealed that he and his friends regularly come to catch shrimp at this spot. While they were catching shrimp, it started to rain heavily, so they took shelter in the car. At 8pm, they were about to drive home but got stuck because the road was dirt. So they waited until 4am and tried driving again. The more they drove, the more they sank. They waited until they called a tow truck, but they couldn’t come to help, so they contacted the Chachoengsao rescue team to come and help.
