General Kriangkrai sits as the 1st Vice President of the Senate, “Boonsong” as the 2nd Vice President.

Parliament, No surprises, Gen. Kriangkrai Srirak sits as the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Senate, while “Boonsong” sits as the 2nd Deputy Speaker of the Senate, receiving 167 votes, beating second place “Angkana” from the New Generation Senators group.

In the first Senate meeting, General Kriangkrai Srirak, Senator, received 150 votes and was elected as the first Vice President of the Senate, while Mr. Noppadol Inna received 27 votes, Assoc. Prof. Lae Dilok Wittayarat received 15 votes, and Dr. Patima Jirapaet received only 5 votes, with 2 spoiled ballots and 1 abstention.

Previously, the votes had to be recounted because one vote was found to be too high. Originally, Assoc. Prof. Lae had 16 votes, but after the recount, there were 15 votes. Pol. Lt. Gen. Yuthana Thaiphakdi, the temporary chairman, believed that a recount should be conducted for 100% accuracy.

As for the vote to select the second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, the results showed that Mr. Boonsong Noisophon, a member of the Senate (Senator), r
eceived 167 votes and was elected as the second Deputy Speaker of the Senate, while Ms. Angkhana Neelapaijit, a member of the Senate from the New Generation of Senators group, received 18 votes, Mr. Patima Jirapaet received only 4 votes, and Dr. Phongsak Kerdwongbandit received 8 votes, with 2 abstentions and no spoiled ballots.
