Today was another attempt to move ‘Plai Dok Kaew’, an orphaned elephant that Ms. Kanchana Silpa-archa bought and left at the Elephant Care Center of the Elephant Conservation and Environment Foundation. This led to a dramatic exchange with ‘Phi Lek Saengduan’, the foundation’s president, regarding the elephant’s care, which led to it having to move to a new home. The move was difficult and involved several suspenseful moments, especially when ‘Plai Dok Kaew’ broke through the car’s barrier. It took a total of 4 hours to get the elephant back into the car.
