Establish a fact-finding committee after the dismissal of two transport engineers from Singburi

The Department of Land Transport has set up a fact-finding committee after ordering the transfer of two civil servants from the Singburi Provincial Transport Office to help out in the bus fire incident. If any wrongdoing is found, the highest level of disciplinary action will be taken.

Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport, revealed that in the case of a bus carrying students from Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School in Uthai Thani Province on a field trip, which had an accident and caught fire near the Anusawari Interchange in Pathum Thani Province, resulting in many injuries and deaths, the Ministry of Transport has therefore ordered the Department of Land Transport to urgently investigate the facts and implement safety measures to prevent the same accident from happening again.

Mr. Chirut continued that the Department of Land Transport has now set up a fact-finding committee in the case. At the same time, two civil servants, head of the department (skilled vehicle inspect
ion technician) and skilled vehicle inspection technician, Vehicle Inspection Division, Singburi Provincial Transport Office, have been assigned to assist the two civil servants at the Department of Land Transport to ensure that the fact-finding investigation proceeds smoothly. If any wrongdoing is found, the Department of Land Transport will take the highest level of disciplinary action.
