SINGAPORE,, ‘Director of the OPDC’ attended the 36th ASEAN War Veterans Association Executive Committee Meeting and the 23rd ASEAN War Veterans Association Assembly Meeting to achieve cooperation in the development of war veterans’ affairs in the ASEAN region.
Gen. Decha Nithit Leungngamkham, Director of the War Veterans Organization (WVO), led the delegation of the War Veterans Organization under Royal Patronage to attend the 36th ASEAN War Veterans Association Executive Committee Meeting with the members of the Association at Swissotel The Stamford, Republic of Singapore. The meeting was chaired by Major General Winston Toh, President of the Association for the Year 2024 and President of the War Veterans Association of the Republic of Singapore. The objective of the meeting was to discuss various draft resolutions on cooperation in the development of war veterans’ affairs in the ASEAN region, which were presented at the 5th Federation Working Group Meeting for consideration and approval at the 23rd Federa
tion Assembly.
Then, he joined the 23rd ASEAN War Veterans Association Assembly with the heads of delegations from the federation members, presided over by Mr. Zaki Mohamad, Senior Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Singapore, and Brigadier General Winston Toh, chaired the meeting. The objectives were to consider drafting resolutions and vote on resolutions on cooperation in the development of war veterans’ affairs in the ASEAN region, which were presented at the 36th Executive Committee Meeting of the federation at the Singapore Armed Forces Reserve Association Club, Chua Chu Kang, Republic of Singapore. In this regard, there was a ceremony to present the honorary chairmanship of the federation to General Santhat Nanthiphakhiran, former Director-General of the organization. and the President of the Confederation for the year 2022 and the Confederation Medal of Honor to Lt. Col. Hassachai Eiamlao, Assistant Director of the Organization (Administration) and Secretary-General of the Confederation fo
r the year 2022, who hosted the 34th Confederation Executive Committee Meeting and the 21st Confederation Assembly Meeting in 2022 in Thailand.
