“Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior” confirms that the ThaiD application has a database for verification and identity confirmation. It can be linked to the “State Path” application to register for the 10,000 baht top-up project via Digital Wallet. However, the system is currently being linked. Invites citizens to verify their identity for convenience in registering to receive money.

Mr. Suttipong Juljarern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, revealed that the Ministry of Interior has been informed by citizens who wish to register to join the 10,000 baht top-up project via the government’s Digital Wallet that they cannot use the database from the ThaiD application to verify their identity to use the Digital Wallet service together with the government application, resulting in inconvenience in using government services. The ThaiD application is an application that citizens continuously use, including verifying their identity to use digital services, showing their ID cards, making cop
ies of their house registration, moving their address, and other aspects, to the point that it can be said that it is a normal way of life.

Mr. Sutthipong continued that the Department of Provincial Administration has inspected the registration system for the 10,000-baht top-up project via Digital Wallet, a government application, since 8:00 a.m. today and found that there is still no link to verify and confirm identity using the Digital Identity Verification and Authentication System (DOPA-Digital ID) or the ThaiD application, which has affected the registration of a large number of citizens who wish to use the service. Therefore, the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) or DGA must proceed with the linking and installation of the system link in the government application so that digital verification in the ThaID system can be used for registration, which is in accordance with the Cabinet resolution, the resolution of the Policy Committee for the 10,000-baht Top-up Project via Digital
Wallet, and the resolution of the Subcommittee Supervising the Implementation of the 10,000-baht Top-up Project via Digital Wallet to facilitate the public.

Mr. Sutthipong added that the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the ThaiD application, which has been registered by more than 17.701 million people, has a database of verification and identity confirmation that can be linked to the government application to register for the 10,000 baht top-up project via Digital Wallet. However, it is currently waiting for the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) or DGA to link the system. If DGA can link the system, it will benefit no less than 17.701 million people who wish to apply to join the 10,000 baht top-up project via Digital Wallet and will also facilitate government services for the people.

‘We invite our fellow citizens who have not yet registered for the ThaiD application to download and verify their identities to use the electronic national ID card, copy their house registration, c
opy their birth certificate, and other household registration records. Most importantly, it can be used to verify your identity with government and private agencies that provide online services. This is an important electronic identity verification service that the Ministry of Interior has implemented in accordance with government policy to provide our fellow citizens with convenience and access to government services quickly and efficiently,’ Mr. Suttiphong concluded.
