“Coach Che” expressed his delight at being named to receive the Royal Decoration and is ready to lead Thai athletes to win Olympic medals.
‘Coach Che’ Chatchai Che, head coach of the Thai national taekwondo team, of South Korean descent who received Thai citizenship in 2022, revealed that on August 14, the Royal Gazette website published an announcement of the bestowal of the Most Admirable Order of Direkgunabhorn to a total of 2,905 names, dated August 13.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has the name of ‘Coach Che’ Mr. Chatchai Che or Coach Che Young-sok who received the royal decoration lower than the sash, Third Direkgunabhorn, for his contributions and bringing fame to Thailand. He said that he was delighted to have his name on the list to receive the royal decoration and his goal is to lead Thai athletes to win another gold medal at the Olympic Games. He will not go anywhere and will continue to be a coach for the Thai national team.
