Two Chinese victims reported to the police that a group of five men armed with handguns and rifles kidnapped them and demanded more than 4 million baht in both Thai and US currencies.

At 10:30 p.m. yesterday (October 20) at Suthisan Metropolitan Police Station, two Chinese victims and a Chinese friend who could speak Thai filed a complaint with the police after a group of five men armed with handguns and rifles broke into their workplace on Ratchadaphisek Road before kidnapping the victims and demanding more than 4 million baht.

A Chinese friend of the victim told us that the incident occurred on October 19 at approximately 4:00 p.m. when two Thai and three Burmese men armed with guns broke into her workplace and threatened to extort money. The victim gave her 3.2 million baht in cash, but the group of criminals forced the two victims into a car and headed to Nakhon Nayok, where they extorted another $600,000.

The victim did not have enough money, so she had to borrow from a Chinese relative to transfer 2
70,000 US dollars to the perpetrator. The perpetrator then agreed to take the victim back and leave her in the Nawamin Road area of ??Bangkok. He seized the mobile phone and destroyed the SIM card before returning the mobile phone to the victim. The victim then bought a new SIM card at a convenience store and contacted me to take her to file a complaint.

Initially, the investigation officer of Suthisan Police Station accepted the case and coordinated with the investigation team to go to the area to check the CCTV and verify the facts before tracking down the perpetrators to prosecute them.
