Burma follows up on providing assistance to families of victims of a school bus fire

Government House, 8 Oct. – “Warawut” reveals that the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is providing assistance to families affected by the fire incident of a study tour bus, emphasizing continuous monitoring and assistance, especially for mental health.

Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, gave an interview about the compensation for the families of the deceased and those affected by the fire accident of the study tour bus, saying that the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has continuously provided compensation and talked with the affected families, especially the families of the deceased. We have mobilized teams in provinces near Uthai Thani to work together with the Mental Health Aid Team (MCATT) of the Ministry of Public Health, a total of 10 teams, to compile detailed information about the families and send it to the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation under Royal Patronage so that they can receive compensation in accordance with the procedu
res of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Meanwhile, the officers of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in Pathum Thani Province have visited the area to provide encouragement to the families, as well as providing financial assistance and emergency funds to the families of the injured children. As for the children who are receiving treatment at Thammasat University Hospital, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has arranged a place for the parents, which is a place to stay at the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. Therefore, if any parents want to visit their children or keep a close watch on them, they can use this place as a temporary place to stay.

In addition, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has coordinated with the parents’ workplaces to provide special leave privileges to visit and care for their children, without it being considered leave.
