Bomb attacks hit three southern Thai provinces

A series of bomb and shooting attacks took place on April 14 night in three southern border provinces of Thailand.

An unknown number of armed assailants carried out the attacks at six different locations in Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat almost simultaneously.

The main target of the attacks were local police forces, such as Rueso in Narathiwat province or a paramilitary ranger station in the Raman district of Yala province.

After the attacks, several shootings took place between security forces and gunmen, but no casualties is reported.

The investigation of the incident was underway./.
