“Anutin” confirms that the Bhumjaithai Party ministerial position remains the same, reiterates the original policy, continues to work despite the change of prime minister in the middle of the term, not worried about “Paethongtarn” being complained about.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, said about the party’s proportional council list that everything is as discussed with the core party and the Prime Minister. Everything is moving forward. He himself is aware that the Prime Minister is in the final stages of collecting names to present to His Majesty the King.

When asked again whether there were any points that needed to be careful because there were frequent complaints, Mr. Anutin stated that this was the era of complaints, so we had to be very careful. No matter how many complaints there were, but we did not do anything wrong and had pure intentions, there should be nothing to worry about. He was confident in being the head of the gove
rnment. Today, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra is the prime minister. Everything must be done according to the rules and regulations and the constitution. He himself believed that he already had a good team.

When asked if academics analyzed that this government would last long or some said that it would work without any problems, Mr. Anutin stated that during the government of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, former Prime Minister, they said that it would not last long, but it lasted until the end. It depends on the practices and mutual understanding. He believes that we have full cooperation between the coalition parties, similar to the government of Mr. Settha Thavisin, who worked together very well, especially towards the end.

Mr. Anutin asked not to criticize the Democrat Party joining the government because he was not the one who made the decision and did not follow the case where the Palang Pracharath Party claimed that it had a contract to join the government but in the end it was abandoned.

Mr. Anutin talked
about the policies of the Bhumjaithai Party that they are still the same policies. Fortunately, we have been able to work continuously and the responsibilities of each ministry have continued. We have never encountered such a situation when the central government was changed. However, we were able to reach an agreement that the Bhumjaithai Party would continue to work in its original duties without any interruption because the caretaker government is still there and it still has the power to order various caretaker matters to continue working. The party’s policy was also sent to the core party to form a government.

When asked about the Bhumjaithai Party’s cannabis policy, Mr. Anutin said that it was in line with what Mr. Settha had announced when he was still the prime minister, that it would be issued as an Act. As for concerns about being betrayed like the last time from the Democrats, he thought that there would not be enough votes, and that this team is a new team. He himself believes in the spirit of Mr
. Chalermchai Sri-on, the party leader. He himself is close to him and understands the people. He does not play politics much.

For the Entertainment Complex Act, it depends on the government’s push. If everything is under the provisions of the constitution and does not benefit any group, the Bhumjaithai Party supports the government’s actions. However, there are criteria. Existing laws, if there are obstacles, the law must be amended. However, if it is against the constitution or morality, we will not do it. I myself have not seen the draft of the said Act.

Mr. Anutin confirmed the original stance of the Bhumjaithai Party’s policy, which must be discussed because there is currently a process that he is not very worried about because there is an ethical issue involved. He believes that everyone must be careful because the interpretation is very broad. This principle must be adhered to first. If there is no amendment to the law or the constitution regarding ethics, we must adhere to this first.

When asked ab
out the cabinet list that came out that Ms. Thirat Rattanasornwanich, MP for Bangkok from the Pheu Thai Party, will be the Deputy Minister of the Interior, what part of the work will she be responsible for? Mr. Anutin said that he is okay with everyone. We have to respect the coalition parties. The nomination of who will be the minister must go through the executive committee and the meeting. We have to respect each other and there will be another discussion.
