General Charoenchai Hinthao, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, presided over the opening ceremony of the ‘Adding 1 Million Great Good People to Society’ activity, Volunteer ROTC, We Do Good with Our Hearts at the Dome Wannasamit, Vibhavadi Military Cadet Center, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2024, to allow military cadets nationwide to join in doing good deeds and be leaders in awakening the power of goodness in the hearts of Thai people nationwide, which will lead to a tangible society of kindness, with Lieutenant General Thaweepol Rimsakorn, Commander of the Territorial Defense Command, and more than 10,000 military cadets welcoming them.

On this occasion, the Comman
der-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army expressed his gratitude to the Territorial Defense Command and all sectors for organizing this event, with military cadets as role models and leaders in awakening the power of goodness within themselves, demonstrating the power of love and unity as good examples

to create a peaceful and happy Thai society, ready to serve as the reserve force of the Royal Thai Army in creating benefits for the country and the people. He also visited and gave encouragement to military cadets who participated in the blood donation activity, with 700 military cadets donating blood, totaling 315,000 cc. In addition, volunteer activities were organized to develop the surrounding area and assist medical personnel in the hospital, helping patients who were being treated in the hospital, as well as visiting and giving encouragement to patients at Phramongkutklao Hospital and the Veterans Hospital. The

format of the activity will have military cadets start recording the results of their good deeds
in the database system with still images or video clips and typing a description of their good deeds, and inviting parents, siblings, and friends to participate in activities that are good in 3 dimensions: doing good for family, school/workplace, and society, and recording the results of their good deeds in the database system as well. The goal is for military cadets to participate in the activity and invite Thai parents and siblings. Join the network of more than 1 million people to do good deeds so that everyone will realize that doing good deeds is easy and can be done in everyday life, creating kindness towards each other, knowing how to sacrifice for others, and giving only good things to each other, which will result in a society that is more livable in the future.

Lieutenant General Thaweepol, Commander of the Territorial Defense Command, gave an interview afterwards that for the grand event of adding 1 million good people to the society, the Volunteer Army Reserve Officers, we do good with our hearts
today, with the first objective being to offer merit to His Majesty the King on the occasion of his 6th cycle 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024. The second objective is that we want to awaken the power of goodness in the hearts of all military cadets to make good deeds tangible, not only for themselves, but also to invite friends, relatives, and families to join in doing good deeds on this occasion.

This activity originated from the Royal Thai Army, which the Territorial Defense Command has done on October 9, 2013, which was the first time that the 300,000 Volunteer Army Reserve Officers did good deeds with their hearts. The second time was a large blood donation to the Thai Red Cross Hospital, 25,000 Volunteer Army Reserve Officers, which were 2 sub-activities of the activities done today.

Today’s activity, I confirm that it is not a flash in the pan. We have made it a tangible activity, with tangible and sustainable results, by recording evidence with photos of how many times it was done, which can be verifi
ed. And how many people have done it, which can be verified according to real-time data. For example, today, 320,000 people have joined the activity. The goal is that within about 3 months, we intend to have 1 million participants do good deeds. When that is complete, there may be a million, a second million, a fifth million, and a tenth million, and it will be beneficial to the general public, families, educational institutions, and society.

The same victory, doing good must cover all 3 dimensions: 1. Dimension of goodness with family 2. Dimension of goodness with educational institutions 3. Dimension of goodness with society. If all are done, one will pass to level 1 and will be upgraded to the next level.

Lieutenant General Thaweepul, Commander of the Territorial Defense Command, invited all Thai people to join in this great activity and help promote and encourage each other. He confirmed that we promote people to do good deeds for the benefit of their families, educational institutions, society, and our
country.
