A fierce clash occurred in front of a rice porridge shop in Satun Province. Guns were fired at rival customers who were eating rice porridge. The shop owner fled for his life. In the end, one person died and another was injured.

The police of Langu Police Station, Satun Province, received a report of a shooting at a rice porridge shop in Kamphaeng Subdistrict, Langu District, Satun Province. Upon inspecting the scene, they found a large pool of blood and 15 9 mm bullet casings scattered around. They also found an injured person, identified as Mr. Saeng Arun, 31 years old, who had been shot in the chest, abdomen, and legs a total of 5 times. Rescue workers rushed him to the hospital, where he later died. In addition, another person was injured, identified as Ms. Suwaiba, 35 years old, who was shot in the left arm. Good Samaritans rushed her to the hospital. She is now safe.

Initial investigation revealed that before the incident, there were 2 groups of perpetrators. The first group came from Tha Phae Distri
ct, the other group came from Langu District. Each group had about 10 people. They stopped to eat rice soup and sat at tables close to each other. After finishing their rice soup, both parties came out to the front of the shop. Then, there was a fight before both parties took out guns and shot at each other. Customers in the shop and villagers ran away to escape death. From the assumption, the officers assumed that the two groups had a past conflict. When they met, they were annoyed and argued until they chased and shot at each other. The officers will investigate to collect evidence to track down the gunman.
