A 59-year-old woman fell into a river while picking up trash and died at the pier of Wat Ko Kaew, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province. No one saw the incident, but a security camera captured the incident.
CCTV footage from Kradangnga Subdistrict Municipality at the pier of Wat Ko Kaeo, Kradangnga Subdistrict, Bang Khonthi District, Samut Songkhram Province shows Ms. Panisa, aged 59, a resident of Klong, walking to the pier to collect garbage, but accidentally fell into the Mae Klong River and drowned in front of the CCTV camera.
The incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. on August 18. Later, at 9:30 p.m., relatives notified officials who mobilized forces from several foundations, including four diving officers who went underwater to search, and six officers on a boat who brought two flat-bottomed boats with sounders to search for underwater objects, as well as one jet ski, to mobilize a team to search on the surface amidst the increasingly rapid currents. As of 1:00 a.m. on August 19, they had still n
ot found him, so the search was called off.
Later, at 6:30 a.m. today (August 19), someone found a body floating in front of Wat Ko Kaew, Tambon Kradannga, Amphoe Bang Khonthi, Samut Songkhram Province. They went to investigate and found that it was the body of Ms. Panisa. From the initial investigation, it was found that the deceased had no vision in her right eye and liked to go out to collect garbage by the water to sell. It is assumed that she may have fallen into the water. The officers therefore brought the body up and sent it for an initial autopsy at the hospital.
