“Pichai” reveals that the Treasury will distribute 10,000 baht to the first group of vulnerable people on 25 Sept., emphasizing the importance of the digital wallet policy because Thai society is entering the digital economy era.

In the joint parliamentary meeting to consider urgent matters, the cabinet announced its policies to the parliament. Mr. Pichai Chunhavajira, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, stood up to explain about the economic stimulus policy, saying that in the past 5 years, the country’s economy has grown slowly. If the government does nothing, its potential will be even weaker and the problem will worsen. Therefore, no matter who it is, if they want to solve the country’s economic problems at this time, they should have the same idea. To solve the problems, we must first be in a state of recovery and then build. Today, the government must decide to implement various policies without waiting. We must restore and build again at the same time.

The digital wallet policy is importa
nt because Thai society is entering the digital economy era. We have a platform application ‘Government’ to create equal economic equality. These things are not easy, but when there is debt, everyone has difficulty breathing. We have to add money to the economic system, while also considering the readiness of the system and the money in the pocket. The government has planned to do it as quickly as possible. The first round will be 10,000 baht for 14.2 million people, totaling 140 billion baht. We should be able to press the bell to let the first lump sum flow on September 25.
