Bangkok, The Prime Minister has ordered the Huai Khwang Police Station Superintendent to thoroughly inspect the passport-buying and selling billboards that appeared in the middle of the city. Tomorrow, the police and district offices will go to the area to conduct a detailed inspection and coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inquire about passport regulations.

Pol. Col. Prasopchok Eamphinij, Superintendent of Huai Khwang Metropolitan Police Station, said that this morning, Huai Khwang Police Station and Huai Khwang District Office found on social media that there were billboards advertising the sale of passports and passports at Huai Khwang Intersection, so they rushed to the area to coordinate the operation. Initially, the District Director informed those who put up the signs to take them down first so that they could be inspected. As for the inspection tomorrow (July 23) at 9:30 a.m., Huai Khwang Police Station will work with the Huai Khwang District Office as local officials to thoroughly
inspect 3 important issues: whether the sign had a proper permit for installation or construction, whether the sign tax had been paid correctly and in full, and whether the message on the sign contained any messages that might be illegal or affect national security. Huai Khwang Police Station has coordinated with the Immigration Bureau and tomorrow (July 23) will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the issuance of passports and what are the regulations or guidelines for various countries.

Pol. Col. Prasopchok also mentioned the visit to Huai Khwang Police Station by Prime Minister Settha Thavisin, saying that the Prime Minister happened to be passing by and was going to do some other business, so he was concerned and stopped by to ask for information. He then informed him that the Prime Minister’s instructions were to thoroughly investigate and provide fairness according to the facts. If anything was wrong, it would be dealt with according to the law. If nothing was wrong, justice would
be served to those involved. The Prime Minister was not worried about anything, but only came to give encouragement and guidance, provide fairness, and look at everything from all sides.
