Italy, Prime Minister discusses Barilla Company and explores opportunities for joint partnership. and exchange production methods To improve product quality for Thai people
Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister, met with Mr. Federico Vescovi, Partnership Development President and Mr. Andrea Sorbello, Government Relations Manager of Barilla GeR Fratelli SpA Company.
Barilla is the world’s largest pasta producer, with 30 production plants (15 in Italy and 15 outside Italy), 10 mills (Italy, USA, Greece, Turkey, Sweden), and a sales office in Singapore. It is responsible for the ASEAN region, Japan, South Korea and China.
The Prime Minister is pleased that the company is studying cooperation opportunities with Thai companies in the production of Ready to eat meals and adding additional distribution channels for pasta in Thailand. We believe that cooperation will be beneficial to both parties. This will increase opportunities for the Thai private sector to exchange and learn how to produce high quality ready-to
-cook food. and improve product quality for Thai consumers
Barilla Company said that Thailand has the potential to be a production base for exports in the future.
